Since 2017, Seth has worked in investments at Ensign Peak Advisors, the asset management arm of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. From 2010 through 2016, Seth was President and founder of Cederian Investments, a Registered Investment Advisory firm offering actively managed investment strategies to individual clients. At Cederian, Seth was the portfolio manager for eleven value-focused equity and fixed income portfolios as well as a long/short hedge fund. Under Seth’s leadership, the firm grew assets under management from $4 million to $17 million before the firm merged into Everspire.
Before launching Cederian, Seth served as a voting member of the Small Cap Investment Committee at Brandes Investment Partners, a San Diego value-investing firm managing more than $50 billion at the time of his departure. Seth was also a Senior Equity Research Analyst at Brandes, with primary responsibility for global coverage of the chemical industry. Prior to joining Brandes in 2003, Seth worked in finance and treasury roles at Ford Motor Company. Seth received his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and his BS (magna cum laude) in accounting from Brigham Young University. Seth is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and has fifteen years of investing experience. Seth has lived in Italy and Israel, as well as in California, Michigan, and Utah.
